How to fix HP printer printing and scanning errors on Mac OS X?

  1.  Go to the Finder window and then to Applications/Hewlett-Packard folder
  2. Open HP Uninstaller
  3. Click Continue in the HP Uninstaller window
  4. Select your printer in the next screen
  5. Now, press and hold the control, option as well as the command keys
  6. Hit Uninstall
  7. ·         Confirm the un-installation
  8. Hit Continue and then choose Software Update from the Apple menu
  9.  From the same menu, select System Preferences
  10. In this window, hit Print & Fax or Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners
  11. From the list of printers, choose the wireless printer you want to give print or scanning command on
  12. Hit the minus (-) sign from the bottom
  13. Now, click the plus symbol (+) and re-add the print
  14. Choose your printer under the Add Printer window
  15.  Click Add

Please note- that if your wireless printer is already connected to your wireless router then you don’t need the HP Software. That’s because the latest versions of Mac operating systems have built0in print and scan drivers. If you don’t find the one, contact the HP printer technical support number.

But, if your wireless printer is not connected to your router then you might require the HP software. To get the same, follow these instructions:
  1. Visit HP official website
  2. Choose Download drivers and software
  3. Provide your HP printer model number
  4.  Hit Go
  5. Now, choose your operating system
  6. Download and install the software according to the installation instructions given
  7. It’s done!
